Daily driving tour opens for Festival of Lights transforming Phillips Park

The Aurora Festival of Lights – one of the largest free outdoor drive-thru holiday light displays in northern Illinois – is open for its 14th year, with even more dazzling displays to delight both adults and children.

Presented in partnership between the Aurora Rotary Club and the city of Aurora, the signature winter event is a drive-thru attraction of more than 1 mile of lighted displays at Phillips Park, 1000 Ray Moses Drive.

The Aurora Festival of Lights runs through Dec 27. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Enter the park on Smith Boulevard.

For safety reasons this year, there will be no volunteers collecting donations at the end of the route. Donations still are greatly needed and gladly accepted, Rotary organizers stated in a news release. People may donate online at https://www.aurorafestivaloflights.com/donate/.
