A 30-year-old man was found dead Friday morning at the Crest Hill Inn, police said.
Crest Hill police responded to the 2109 Plainfield motel about 9 a.m. and "found a 30-year-old male deceased with apparent injuries," according to a statement released Friday evening by the Crest Hill Police Department.
"Police secured the scene and interviewed witnesses," according to the statement. "The investigation is active and progressing. This incident is specific to this location and there is no known threat to the public."
The Will Grundy Major Crimes Task Force was assisting the Crest Hill police in the investigation, the statement said.
