To the Editor:
Mark Gerhardt will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot for McHenry County Circuit Judge, a position he was unanimously appointed to by the Illinois Supreme Court in May 2019.With nearly 25 years of legal experience, there is irrefutable proof Mark is well qualified professionally for this position.
However, what matters even more is Mark’s service to our community drawing from past experiences, his personal convictions, and his life passions.
I met Mark four years ago, and have had the privilege of getting to know him as a husband, a dad and a friend. I have been with Mark’s family in their own home numerous times and have had them in our home as well.
Without any qualifications, I can declare Mark to be the same person ‘behind closed’ doors, as he is in the courtroom. He is a man of integrity and absolute trustworthiness.
He is well respected in both the legal world and in his person relationships. And his family supports him in all that he does.
Mark also has the rare quality of being a focused listener. I have watched Mark in his courtroom and been impressed with his patience, kindness and shepherding of both the citizen standing before him and the courtroom as a whole.
In the rapidly changing world we live in, we need public officials we can count on to stand firmly on who they are and what they say. Mark Gerhardt is that man and the best candidate for McHenry County Circuit Judge.
