2021 election packets available at Will County Clerk's office

Those wishing to run in the April 6, 2021, municipal election for positions on local school boards can get petition packets via the Will County Clerk’s Office to get on the ballot.

Candidates can download copies of their petitions online at thewillcountyclerk.com and prepare to circulate them, according to a news release. By law, they can begin collecting signatures Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Petitions packets for grade school, unit school, high school districts and for the Will County Regional Board of Trustees are also available online. Packets will also be available at the county clerk’s office, located at 302 N. Chicago St. in downtown Joliet.

The names of candidates who have taken out petitions for these races will be posted on the county clerk’s website at 3:30 p.m. on each business day.
