LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Pack the Park Committee will host “Playin’ in the Park” on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the LaMoille Village Park. This “Pack the Park” event will help raise money for a community shelter, located at 206 Gurney St. in LaMoille.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to around 6 p.m. The day’s agenda includes:
• 9 a.m. — Farmers’ market and vendor fair.
• 10 to 11 a.m. — Village-wide photo scavenger hunt ($10 per team of four or more).
• 10 a.m. to noon — “Littles Play Time” for kids ages 2-8 ($5 wristband for all activities).
• 10:30 a.m. — Volleyball tournament and registration ($100 per team, starts at 11 a.m.).
• 11 a.m. — Food stand, beverages and beer stand open.
• 11 a.m. — Adult bags tournament and registration ($20 per team, event starts at noon).
• 1 p.m. — Youth activities ($5 wristband includes fun, interactive games, Nerf war games, dodgeball, bags tournament and rock painting).
• 1 p.m. — Silent auction (bid on a favorite home craft or home-baked item made by one of the community members).
• 2 to 5 p.m. — Music by the Lorenzi Brothers (former members of Selby Street).
• 3:30 p.m. — Announce winners of silent auction and 50/50 raffle.
• Immediately following the announcements, a live auction will commence.
Regarding the photo scavenger hunt, motorized golf carts or ATVs are allowed, but not required. Teams under the age of 12 will need adult supervision.
