Robert Giuliani

GRANVILLE — Robert "Bert" M. Giuliani, 70, of Granville passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Bert was born Sept. 14, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Edward and Hazel (Stallings) Giuliani. He married Cynthia Deuth on April 20, 1968, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granville.

He graduated from Chartier Valley High School in Pennsylvania. Bert also attended Robert Morris College and Illinois Valley Community College. He was an operator on the Gal Line at the Hennepin Steel Plant.

Bert was the union safety representative for United Steel Workers of America. He was the lead singer in the Cadillac's band and in a band called the National Pastime. Bert was an avid Chicago Bear fan.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Giuliani of Granville; three sons, Jeff (Angela) Giuliani of LaSalle, James Giuliani of Florida and Jesse Giuliani of Florida; one daughter, Joely (Brent) Lyon of Sheffield; two brothers, Edward (Rachel) Giuliani of Pennsylvania and John (Sharon) Harley of Georgia; four grandchildren, Jordan, Josh, Abby and Jeno; and two great-grandchildren, Gianna and Oakley. Also surviving is his beloved dog, “Charlie"

He was preceded in death by his parents; his nephews, Johnny and Christopher; and one great-grandson, Brantley.

A Celebration of Life will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

In honor of Bert (the Bears fan), the family invites you to wear casual sports attire.
