Darrell Erickson

STERLING – Darrell Erickson, 75, of Sterling, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling.

Darrell was born Nov. 28, 1942, in Moorhead, Minnesota, the son of Fritzof Erickson and Edna (Anderson) Palmer. He married Karen Folsom on Aug. 26, 1995, in Sterling. Darrell was an avid Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings fan. His dog was named Sassy.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tim (Amber) Erickson of Prophetstown and Darren (Marcia) Erickson of Bettendorf; two daughters, Lori Sandrock of Prophetstown and Liz (Clay) Reveal of Erie; two brothers, Richard (Barb) Erickson of Minnesota and Dennis Erickson of Rockford; one sister, Sandra (Blaine) McClellan of Sterling; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Raymond Erickson; and one sister, Judith Ann Phoenix.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, and the memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Abiding Word Church in Sterling, with Scott Porter, pastor, officiating.

A memorial has been established to Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling.
