May 28

At approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to 115 Main Street in Leaf River in reference to a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, Robert A Galow, 35, of Leaf River, was arrested for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. Galow was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

May 29

Demarcus D. Latin, 27. of Rockford. was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear with a full cash bond of $489. Latin was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear again in court on June 25.

Robert Geiken, 21, of Oregon, was arrested at 10 p.m. for the unlawful possession of cannabis, 10-30 grams, following a traffic stop at Marsh and Hone Creek Roads east of Oregon.

Geiken was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he posted bond and will appear in court at a later date.

He was also issued a written warning for improper lane use, no rear registration light, and defective tires.

May 30

Bronson D. Hughes, 35, of Sterling, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Hughes’ bond was set at $1,101 pending a May 31 court appearance.

Lloyd W. Martin, 38, of Mt. Morris, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Martin’s posted $503 as bond, was released, and does not have to return for court.

May 31

Kole E. Mowry, 19, of Oregon, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Mowry’s bond was set at $307. He received a $50 purge bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court on June 25.

Donovan M. Holsinger , 39, of Byron, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Holsinger’s bond was set at $556. Holsinger received a partial purge for $75 and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Holsinger is scheduled to appear in court on June 25.

Zachary Grove, 24, of Stillman Valley, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Grove posted $567 as bond, was released from the Ogle County Jail, and does not have to return for court.

Kassondra Bruder, 22, of Oregon, was arrested at 9:31 p.m. for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop in the 4000 block of South Lowell Park Road. Bruder was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

June 1

At 1:40 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle in the in the ditch on Leaf River Road. After an investigation, Michael Remhof, 64, of Leaf River, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Remhof was also cited for improper lane usage and operating in violation of restrictions.

He was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was being held in lieu of bond.

Karri Penniston, 22, Freeport, was cited at 10:50 a.m. for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop in at Freeport Road and Lanark Road. Penniston was given an I-bond at the scene.

Alex R. Davis, 27, Byron, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for criminal trespass to property. Davis posted the $3,000 (10%) as bond and was released. Davis is scheduled to appear in court on June 22.

June 2

At approximately 10:09 a.m., deputies responded to an unwanted subject complaint in the 5000 block of North River Road.

After an investigation, Clifford K Swanson, 50, of Byron, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Swanson was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 11:12 p.m., deputies responded to the 10,000 block of North Ill. 2 in reference to a hit and run accident where the vehicle had left the scene.

With the help of bystanders, the vehicle and driver was located approximately 1/4 mile south of where the accident initially occurred.

After an investigation, Dane Ohare, 32, of Leaf River, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Ohare was additionally issued citations for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, and leaving the scene of an accident. Ohare was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

June 3

At approximately 7:35 p.m., deputies attempted to stop a vehicle in the 2000 block of North Ill. 26. The driver failed to yield to deputies and continued driving more than two miles before finally coming to a stop. The driver, Barbara Murray, 47, of Forreston, was arrested for fleeing/eluding a peace officer and on an outstanding Ogle County warrant. Murray was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

June 4

At 12:39 p.m. deputies stopped a white Nissan Maxima in the 17,000 block East Twombly Road for speeding.

After a further investigation the driver of the vehicle, Javier Fisher Sanchez, 29, of Rochelle, was arrested for driving without a valid Illinois driver’s license and speeding.

Sanchez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he posted bond and was given a June court date.

Patricia Castro, 51, of Aurora, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Castro’s bond was originally $4,746, but was reduced to $100.

She posted $100 bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Castro is scheduled to return to court on July 30.

Cathy L. Coleman, 48, of Stillman Valley, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Coleman posted $566 bond, was released from the Ogle County Jail, and does not have to return to court.

Mindy Durbin, 31, of Rockford, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Durbin original bond was $2,922.90, but she was given a $1,000 recognizance and was released from the Ogle County Jail.. Durbin is scheduled to return for court on June 25.

Elizabeth Legault, 42, of Freeport, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. for driving while license revoked following a traffic stop on Ill. 26 near Lanark Road. Legault was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration. She was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
