Deputies and the Byron Fire Department were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover crash in the 11000 block of North Kennedy Hill Road, north of Byron.
The vehicle was on fire and was extinguished by Byron Fire Department. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle Jimmy Lewis, (age not listed), Rockford, was uninjured.
After an investigation Lewis was arrested for driving while under the influence.
He was also cited for improper lane usage, no valid registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Lewis was also charged with possession of an open car title. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held on the charges pending a court appearance.
May 18
Daryl McCoy, 32. Aurora, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for speeding. McCoy posted the $2,000 (10%) as bond and was released. McCoy is scheduled to appear in court on June 22.
At approximately 2:03 p.m., deputies performed a traffic stop in the 9,000 block of North Illinois 26. After an investigation, Chaivan Price, 23, Chadwick, was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis between 10-30 grams. Price was also issued a citation for speeding. Price was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
May 19
Christopher Evans, 28, Polo, was arrested at 2:48 p.m. for driving while license suspended and on a failure to appear Lee County warrant following a traffic stop at the intersection of Penn Corner Road and Nettz Road.
Evans was also issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle. Evans was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At 5:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 16,000 block of East Crill Road in reference to an unwanted subject.
After an investigation, William Upton, 45, Monroe Center, and Jaime Tighe, 25, Loves Park, were arrested for domestic battery. Both subjects were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.
Tighe was also cited with civil citations for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Christina Pelayo, 39, Rochelle, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for criminal trespass to land . Her bond was set $10,000 (10%) pending a May 21 court appearance.
May 20
Deputies responded to several reports of criminal damage and theft in the area of Harvest Glenn Drive and Sunny Hill Drive in Davis Junction.
After an investigation, Logan R. Hilliard, 18, Davis Junction, was arrested for residential burglary, burglary, criminal damage to property (more than $300) and criminal damage to property (less than $300).
The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be possible.
Cole H. Smith, 30, Rochelle, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for driving while license suspended. Smith posted $5,000 (10%) bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 8.
Shannon Day, 25, Polo, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Day’s bond was set at $609 pending a May 22 court appearance.
Peter-Paul Mabrie, 28, Rochelle, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for resisting a peace officer. Mabrie’s bond was set at $3,000 (10%) pending a May 22 court appearance.
Jasen Shrader, 37, Davis Junction, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for criminal damage to a vehicle. Shrader’s bond was set at $5,000 (10%) pending a May 22 court appearance.
Elizabeth Drolema, 52, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear.
Drolema posted $307 bond, was released from the Ogle County Jail, and does not have to return to court.
May 21
At 3:18 p.m., deputies along with the Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire Department and Rochelle Fire Department ambulance responded to a two-vehicle injury crash at Ill. 64 and Moore Road.
An investigation by deputies revealed that a westbound Chevrolet Aveo driven by Florence Smith, 61, Kings, had stopped waiting to turn left onto Moore Road when it was rear ended by a westbound Mazda driven by Kyle Koziol, 28, Davis Junction.
Smith was transported by LSR ambulance to Rochelle Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
A juvenile passenger in Smith’s vehicle was transported by Rochelle Ambulance to Rockford Memorial Hospital with significant injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Ogle County Sheriff’s Office.
May 22
Emma Lantz, 22, Dixon, was arrested on a warrant for the unlawful manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance.
Lantz’s bond was set at $25,000 (10%) pending a court appearance.
