NORMAL – Dianna L. Pettorini, 70, of Normal, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at her home.
She was born March 12, 1946, in Dixon, the daughter of Edward and Ruth “Sally” (Oester) Ackert. She had been a hair dresser and beautician, and had also worked in the accounting department for Snyder Corp. in Bloomington. Dianna married Roger Pettorini on July 13, 1968, at St. Mary Church in Walton.
Survivors include her husband; two children, Michael (Kate) Pettorini of Normal and Jennifer (David) Craft of Junction City, Kansas; five grandchildren, Jamison O’Neil, Grace, Katelyn, Luke, and Erin Craft; three stepgrandchildren, Marek, Jarod, and Dylan Maki; two sisters, Becky Gray of Bloomington and Susan (Edward) Leffelman of Amboy; four brothers, Carl (Dorine) Ackert of Dixon, Ron (Tami) Ackert of Amboy, John (Jackie) Ackert of Dixon, and James (Maureen) Ackert of Walton; five sisters-in-law, Carol Rhodes of Bluefield, West Virginia, Judith Cassens of Sterling, Elaine (Mike) Williams of Cantonment, Florida, and Bonnie Ackert and Lana Ackert, both of Dixon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David and Dennis Ackert.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walton, with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walton, with the Rev. Richard Kramer officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Harmon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Illinois Cancer Care Foundation in Bloomington.
