IV River Bandits 12U place third in tourney

OMAHA, Neb — The Illinois Valley River Bandits 12 U travel team recently competed at the Triple Crown Sports “Slumpbuster Tournament” at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

The River Bandits finished third place in Division III at the tournament out of 54 teams.

More than 250 teams from 34 states came to the tournament in all age groups. The IV River Bandits faced teams from Michigan, Minnesota, and Colorado.

The tournament includes a player bonfire, pin trading, and tickets to a college world series game. The River Bandits attended the Miami Hurricanes vs. Florida Gators game.
