Prep Roundup: Kaneland baseball wins rout over DeKalb

DeKALB – Colton Fellows threw a complete game, allowing just two hits and an unearned run in Kaneland’s 12-1 win against DeKalb. The Knights (7-7, 3-1 Northern Illinois Big 12 East) scored seven runs in the third. Matt Rosko had three hits and two RBIs.

Geneva boys lacrosse tops East

ST. CHARLES – The Geneva boys lacrosse team earned a St. Charles sweep, defeating host St. Charles East, 9-8, on the heels of last week’s home win against St. Charles North.

Vikings coach Derek Bahler lauded the team’s defensive play down the stretch.

Batavia boys tennis wins

OSWEGO – Adam Maris and Josh Boyle earned comfortable wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, to boost Batavia to a 6-1 win at Oswego.

North boys v’ball sweeps

WHEATON – Brendan Donlevy had a team-high eight kills for St. Charles North in a 25-17, 25-21 sweep of St. Francis. Trevor Gonzaga and Bryan Verstat each had 12 digs for 11-4 North.

East badminton rolls

ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles East badminton team swept all 10 singles matches, including Jill Patel at No. 1, in a 14-1 victory against Bartlett.

ACC girls soccer wins

AURORA – Jordyn Sundberg scored four goals to boost the Aurora Central Catholic girls soccer team to a 7-0 victory against IMSA. The Chargers are 8-2.
