Sexual exploitation of a child
Alexander Wallace, 21, P.O. Box 6845, Villa Park, was charged at 8:20 p.m. March 10 with sexual exploitation of a child and resisting a police officer in the 100 block of West St. Charles Road.
Battery
Samuel Caccitolo, 83, of the 600 block of North Vista Avenue, was charged at 7:24 p.m. March 10 with domestic battery in the 600 block of North Vista Avenue.
Controlled substance possession
Donald Ewalt, 45, of the 700 block of East Le Moyne Avenue, was charged at 5:46 p.m. March 10 with driving while license suspended, no insurance and possession of a controlled substance at St. Charles Road and Main Street.
Harassment
• Harassing phone calls and unwanted visits were reported at 7:35 p.m. March 9 in the 2000 block of South Finley Road.
• Harassing phone calls were reported at 6:52 p.m. March 10 at Edson Avenue and Taylor Road.
Protection order violation
Dominic Vitale, 19, of the 22W500 block of Sunset Terrace, Medinah, was charged at 11:25 p.m. March 10 with violation of an order of protection and refusing to leave in the 300 block of West Central Avenue.
Theft
• Alex Sheridan, 20, of the 700 block of Fox Avenue, Glendale Heights, was charged at 11:24 a.m. March 9 with retail theft after he allegedly stole several items from Hobby Lobby, 225 W. Roosevelt Road.
• Merchandise totaling $3,000 was reported stolen at 4:15 p.m. March 9 from a display rack at Victoria’s Secret, 203 Yorktown Center.
• A vehicle registration sticker was reported stolen at 10:49 a.m. March 10 at Discount Tire, 1060 E. Roosevelt Road.
• A purse containing a cellphone, miscellaneous identification cards, a debit card and $150 was reported stolen at 12:39 p.m. March 10 from the back of a chair at Georgie’s Red Hots, 837 S. Westmore Ave.
• A video game was reported stolen at 3:52 p.m. March 10 from Target, 60 Yorktown Shopping Center.
• Jennifer Book, 19, of the 5300 block of Park Avenue, Downers Grove, and Sarah Peers, 19, of the 700 block of North 13th Street, Milwaukee, each were charged at 10:25 p.m. March 10 with retail theft after they allegedly stole merchandise from Target, 60 Yorktown Shopping Center.
Fraud
• A payment of $5,000 was reportedly made at 12:04 p.m. March 9 to a fraudulent website in the 200 block of East Roosevelt Road. The payment was for a vehicle listed on an eBay Web-page.
• Identity theft was reported at 2:24 p.m. March 9 in the 600 block of South Arthur Drive. A person’s personal information was allegedly used to file a fraudulent tax return.
• Identity theft was reported at 7:58 p.m. March 9 in the 300 block of East 17th Street. A person’s personal information was allegedly used to apply for unemployment benefits.
Disorderly conduct
• An incident involving verbal abuse was reported at 9:37 a.m. March 9 after a man approached a woman asking inappropriate questions in the 200 block of East 22nd Street.
• Jeffrey Harlan, 37, of the zero to 100 block of South Second Avenue, was charged at 6:35 p.m. March 10 with disorderly conduct after he allegedly urinated in public view at 837 S. Westmore Ave. He was released to the Downers Grove Police Department on a battery charge.
Property damage
A garage door was reported pried open at 6:07 p.m. March 9 in the 1100 block of Cambria Lane.
Suspicious activity
• A suspicious person was reported at 12:32 a.m. March 9 in the hallway of an apartment building in the 2700 block of Technology Avenue.
• A suspicious person was reported at 10:48 a.m. March 9 at the Lombard Chamber of Commerce, 10 Lilac Lane. The person allegedly asked strange questions and later returned to the building to bring back a stapler.
Traffic violations
• Jacqueline Porter-Tetter, 51, of the 6400 block of South Bishop Street, Chicago, was charged at 2:39 p.m. March 9 with resisting a police officer, driving while license suspended, no insurance, failure to yield and operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device at Roosevelt Road and Highland Avenue.
