Silverbergs will note 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. David (Jane) Silverberg of Poplar Bluff, Mo., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. June 8 at Fellowship General Baptist Church on U.S. 67 North. The event is being hosted by their children, Mark Silverberg and his wife, Allison, of Little Rock, Ark., and Melody Edwards and her husband, Michael, of Columbia, Mo. A stepgrandson, Christopher Edwards of Columbia, also will be present.

The couple was married June 14, 1964, at Five Points Christian Church near Marshall, Ill. David was employed by the NewsTribune in the Princeton office for nearly 37 years before being hired in 2004 by the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo., where he is an associate editor. Jane is a homemaker, artist, gardener and a former teacher’s aide. They are members of Fellowship General Baptist Church.
