Buckman gives IVCC $2,000

Illinois Valley Community College alumnus George Buckman (right) of Spring Valley recently donated $2,000 to the Peter Miller Community Technology Center capital campaign. He is the owner of Buckman Iron & Metal in LaSalle and is a 35-year member of the Illinois Valley Community Hospital Board and served as chairman for 10 years. He graduated from Hall High School in 1952. He is pictured with his son, Arnold Buckman, and a photo from his days as a member of the 1954 state champion LaSalle-Peru-Oglesby Junior College football team.
