NAPERVILLE – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Beth Maslowsky and Matthew Schlarb.

She is the daughter of Sid and Marci Maslowsky of Richton Park. He is the son of Larry and Dawn Schlarb of Crystal Lake.

The bride-to-be is a 1994 graduate of Rich South High School in Richton Park and a 1998 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree, and a 2000 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a master’s degree in communicative disorders. She is a speech-language-therapist pathologist and is self-employed.

Her fiancé is a 1992 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School and a 1996 graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning. He is vice president of commercial lending at Bankfinancial.

Their wedding will be Sept. 2.
