HARVARD – Harvard Ford will host a grand opening for its new, state-of-the-art dealership from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

“The facility features nine additional service bays to more efficiently handle our growing customer base, expanded show room with a new customer lounge and increased vehicle selection,” said Harvard Ford owner Sean Sivore.

Sivore said the $2 million construction project began in May 2011.

The expanded service department includes a drive-through lane that allows customers to pull right into the service department. The new waiting area includes a coffee bar.

“It’s all about customer service,” Sivore said. “It’s a more pleasant experience from start to finish.”

The grand opening event will include a petting zoo, pony rides, an exotic animal show, clowns and refreshments.

Radio station personalities will be there and will give away a free set of White Sox suite tickets.

Sivore, who bought the business in 2003, said the old building was a “tin shed” built in 1971.

He said the new building was needed “to succeed in the future.”
