NEW YORK – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Krista Warren and Michael A. Ratliff, both of New York City.

She is the daughter of Susan Roethler-Warren of McHenry. He is the son of Michael H. Ratliff and Donna Rahme-Ratliff of Montclair, N.J.

The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of McHenry East High School and a 2007 graduate of Pivot-Point International Academy in Evanston where she was certified in cosmetology. She is now a master colorist.

Her fiancé is a 2003 graduate of Montclair High School, a 2007 graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., with a bachelor of arts degree in biology and creative writing, and a 2010 graduate of Columbia University in New York City.

The couple will marry Aug. 3, 2013.
