ROCHELLE – Anna Josephine Ohlinger, 91, of Rochelle, died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Ogle County Hospice Serenity Home, Oregon.

She was born Sept. 4, 1919, in Dement Township, the daughter of Oscar C. and Olive A. (Ravnaas) Hill. Anna graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1937 and received a teaching degree from Northern Illinois State Normal School, DeKalb. She taught in two separate one-room schools.

She married Clifford Leslie Ohlinger on March 22, 1942, in Lee, and they farmed together for many years. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1994. She was a member of Lindenwood Union Church, Lindenwood.

Survivors include three sons, Richard (Linda) Ohlinger, Larry Ohlinger, and Gary Ohlinger; one daughter, Barbara Ohlinger, all of Rochelle; four grandchildren, Kristin (George) Bigelow, Brent (Jackee) Ohlinger, Tracy (Dan) Lundquist and Brian Ohlinger; eight great-grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Bigelow, Abby, Josie and Bo Lundquist, Madelyn and Alison Ohlinger and Griffin Ohlinger; two brothers, Carl (Marie) Hill of Creston and Donald (Mary) Hill of Ashton; and one sister, Ruth Cornils of Sterling.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Donald Roger Ohlinger; and two brothers, Arvene and Orson Hill.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lindenwood Union Church, with the Rev. Les McClelland officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Cemetery, Esmond. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, Rochelle.
