5 things to do in DeKalb County: Easter egg hunts in Cortland, DeKalb, Sycamore and more this weekend

  1. Glow-in-the-Dark Teen Egg Hunt (DeKalb): The DeKalb Park District’s Glow-in-the-Dark Teen Egg Hunt is from 8-9 p.m. Thursday, April 2 at the Lions Park Shelter. The eggs will be filled with candy and prizes. The cost is $5 for residents, $6 for nonresidents. Visit dekalbparkdistrict.com for more information.

Cortland Easter Egg Hunt (Cortland): The Cortland Easter Egg Hunt begins at 5:30 Friday, April 3 at Cortland Community Park with games, photos with the Easter Bunny, food and crafts, followed by the hunt.   3. Blumen Gardens Easter Egg Hunt (Sycamore): The gardens will be filled with hidden eggs and other surprises at Blumen Gardens’ Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4. This event is free and open to the public. Visit blumengardens.com for more information.

Bad Momz of Comedy – Stand Up for Seniors (DeKalb): The Egyptian Theatre will host the Voluntary Action Center’s Stand Up for Seniors, a one-of-a-kind comedy fundraiser featuring Bad Momz of Comedy, a hilarious group of real moms sharing laughs about the chaos of everyday life, at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 4.
