5 Things to Do: Easter egg hunts in Ottawa, Utica and more this weekend in the Illinois Valley

The Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Ottawa Special Events promised and delivered a fun filled morning Saturday as hundreds of children participated in the Easter tradition of finding Easter Eggs during a hunt at Allen Park in Ottawa.
  1. Easter Egg Hunt (Ottawa): The Ottawa Special Events Group will host the annual Easter Egg Hunt at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 4 at Allen Park in Ottawa. Kids can also take photos with the Easter Bunny for free. Visit the event page on Facebook for more information.
  2. Adult Easter Egg Hunt (Utica): August Hill Winery will host an Adult Easter Egg Hunt in the Utica tasting room from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 3. Adults can find an egg and turn it in for a prize. Each egg will have something special. Visit augusthillwinery.com for more information.
  3. Utica Fire Department Egg Hunt (Utica): The Utica Fire Department’s annual Easte Egg Hunt is at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4 at Carey Memorial Park. The hunt will be divided up among various age groups. For more information, visit the event page on Facebook.
  4. Waterfall & Canyon Tour (Oglesby): Starved Rock Lodge will offer Waterfall & Canyon Tours at 9 and 11 a.m Saturday, April 4. Enjoy a guided walk to three waterfalls and canyons in Starved Rock State Park The tours also include lunch. Visit starvedrocklodge.com for more information or to purchase tickets.
  5. Wild West Black Light Bingo (Princeton): The Princeton Moose Lodge will host this fundraiser for the Bureau County Fair on Saturday, April 4. Doors open at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m. and Bingo at 7 p.m. Visit the event Facebook page for more information.
