Fall Sports at Joliet Catholic Academy (JCA)

It’s that time of year again, and you know what that means? It’s a new season of fall sports at Joliet Catholic Academy.

Fall sports are a great way to get involved in the Joliet Catholic Academy community. They allow you to meet new friends and learn teamwork skills. Many students are excited about the chance to try out for a sport this fall and encourage others who might want that same opportunity as well.

What does this mean for your schedule? A lot more practice and a lot less free time. But have no fear! You can still find ways to keep up with homework and all those extracurricular activities you love so much.

What is the best way to balance sports with academics so you can be the best student-athlete possible? That’s where good time management comes in handy.

Prioritize, set goals, and stick to a game plan.

By managing your time wisely, academics and sports can both receive equal attention. Being organized helps. It may take some time to learn how to balance it all, so be patient with yourself. At JCA, our students are passionate about both their studies and athletics. With the right mindset, balancing both academics and athletics can be done.

Fall sports offer unique opportunities for students to be competitive on their team or as part of a large group. Don’t be intimidated to try out for a new sport. The first step is picking a sport you are interested in, like football, soccer, volleyball, cross country running, tennis, and golf.

Here at JCA, we believe fall sports are an essential part of life’s pre-collegiate experience. We encourage all students to try out for a sport to see if it’s something you’ll enjoy.

Are you ready for some fall sports? We hope so!
