Mokena state lawmaker’s office collecting winter clothes for families in need

The legislator’s office will be accepting donations through Jan. 31

State Rep. Tim Ozinga’s district office is collecting donations of winter clothes to help local families in need.

Ozinga’s office is collecting new and gently used winter clothing at the 37th House District Office, located at 11019 Front St., Suite 1W, in Mokena, according to a news release.

“The holiday season is approaching; this provides a great opportunity for our community to help our neighbors who may have fallen on hard times,” Ozinga, R-Mokena, said in a statement. “The holiday season is about giving, and your contribution can make a world of difference.”

Donation items include boots, coats, hats and other winter clothes.

The final day to drop off clothing donations will be Jan 31, Ozinga’s office said.

Those with questions on the collection can contact Ozinga’s district office at 708-694-2032.
