Providence Catholic H.S. in New Lenox to host open house on Sunday

Registration for the placement exam in December opens Nov. 12.

Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox will host its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the school, located at 1800 West Lincoln Highway in New Lenox.

Families who attend will be able to tour the school, meet teachers and coaches, hear students explain why they chose Providence Catholic and learn more about financial aid and the Celtic Learning Center, along with academics, faith, athletics and activities, according to a news release from Providence Catholic.

In additioni, Providence Catholic will host its placement exam from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 4. Registration for this test opens on Nov. 12. To register, visit providencecatholic.org.

According to its website, Providence Catholic High School is a “co-educational, college preparatory Augustinian high school located on 75 acres in New Lenox” with its students living within a 30-mile radius of the school.

Providence Catholic is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education, North Central Association – Accrediting Division of AdvancED, The Augustinian Secondary Education Association and the National Catholic Education Association.

Recent graduates from Providence Catholic “earned scholarships valued at nearly $47 million dollars” and “performed in excess of 100,000 hours of community service during their high school careers.” Providence Catholic has 32 state championship titles.
