Deadline for Plainfield’s Alumni Hall of Fame nominations extended

Do you know any alumni from District 202 in Plainfield who have made a significant impact in their chosen fields?

The Plainfield Foundation for Excellence wants to know about them.

The foundation is accepting nominations for its 12th annual induction to its Alumni Hall of Fame, according to a news release from District 202 in Plainfield. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Jan. 19, according to the release.

Nominees must have “significant accomplishments and/or community service recognized as outstanding through the receipt of awards, honors, or other forms of distinction,” according to the release.

A panel of foundation trustees will serve as judges, according to the release.

Candidates will be accepted in the following categories:

• Arts and Entertainment

• Business and Commerce

• Community Service and Volunteerism

• Education and Humanities

• Government and Military

• Medicine and Health

• Philanthropy and Non-profit

• Science and Technology

• Sports and Recreation
