A Park Forest man was arrested after he pulled a gun on Gas N Wash employees in Mokena after a dispute over his monthly car wash membership pass, police said.
About 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jamari Muldrow, 25, of the 300 block of Shawnee Street was booked into the Will County jail on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the incident.
On Dec. 21, officers responded to the Gas N Wash at 19990 S. La Grange Road in reference to a threat with a firearm, Mokena Interim Police Chief Brian Benton said.
Officers learned Muldrow became upset with two employees when he learned his monthly car wash membership pass was no longer valid, Benton said.
“An argument ensued and Muldrow retrieved a handgun from his vehicle and threatened the employees,” Benton said.
One of the employees started to call the police and Muldrow fled the scene, Benton said. The employees reported his license plate when the police arrived, he said.
Detectives secured a warrant for Muldrow’s arrest Jan. 11 after an investigation that included the review of video from the car wash surveillance cameras, Benton said.
Muldrow was released on $30,000 bond about 3:15 a.m. Thursday.
