Woman pushed man down flight of stairs at Star Inn: cops

Man taken to St. Joe’s hospital in Joliet for treatment

A Rockdale woman pushed a man down a flight of stairs at the Star Inn and kicked him in the face while he was on the ground, police said.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. Friday, officers were sent to the Star Inn on West Jefferson Street in response to a report of a disturbance, Joliet police said in a news release.

When the officers arrived, they determined that Bre’Gana Walker, 27, of the 600 block of Meadow Avenue had been in an argument with man and she pushed him down a flight of stairs, police said.

“Walker then kicked the victim in the face as he was on the ground at the base of the stairs,” police said.

Walker fled the scene but returned while officers were still on scene, police said.

She was arrested on probable cause of aggravated battery.

Walker was taken to the Will County jail and her bond was set at $300,000, records show.

Paramedics with the Joliet Fire Department took the man to AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, police said.
