Man arrested, charged with firing gun at vehicle in Joliet: records

A man is in jail on a charge he fired a gun in the direction of a vehicle last December in Joliet.

Isaac Neal, 67, was taken to the Will County jail Thursday on a charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon by felon.

A criminal complaint alleged Neal fired a gun in the direction of a gray Infinity I-35 that he knew was occupied. The shooting occurred Dec. 28, according to the complaint.

On March 19, Judge Fred Harvey signed a warrant for Neal’s arrest that carried a $250,000 bond.

The warrant said Neal’s last known address was in the 1300 block of South Fourth Street in Aurora. The county jail log lists his address in the 700 block of Oakland Avenue in Joliet.

Neal remained in jail Friday and he will need to post $25,000 for his release.

The offense of aggravated discharge of a firearm is a class 1 felony, punishable by four to 15 years in prison. The unlawful use of a weapon charge is a class 2 felony, punishable by three to seven years in prison.
