Crest Hill police conduct death investigation

Crest Hill — The Crest Hill Police Department announced it is in the midst of an active homicide/death investigation.

The Department shared the update on Facebook on July 7, noting that the incident occurred in the 2400 block of Red Oak Trail.

Police called the death an “isolated incident” and said there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

Because the investigation is ongoing, police did not release more details, pending an autopsy.
