Students of former Catholic school to celebrate 70th class reunion

Event will be held in September at Jameson’s Pub in Joliet

The class of 1951 of the former St. John the Baptist School in Joliet are planning at 70th class reunion for Sept. 22.

The event will be held at 1 p.m. at Jameson’s Pub, located at 2755 Black Road in Joliet, at 1:00 P.M.

Founded in 1852, St. John the Baptist Parish is a bicultural Catholic parish that serves the poor and stands up for the rights of immigrants, according to the church’s website. Franciscan Friars of the Sacred Heart Province staff the church the order’s postulants live and study at St. John’s.
