Elburn Village President Jeff Walter has thrown his hat in the ring for congress and running for the Republican nomination for the 11th Illinois Congressional District. Democrat Bill Foster currently holds the seat.

The final tally, which includes provisional ballots and mail-in votes which arrived late but were post-marked by April 1, saw that White Oak Library's referendum margin increase to 249 votes.
