Lockport gallery seeks entries for photography competition

Entries for Gallery Seven’s Open Lens XI due by April 30

Gallery Seven in Lockport has opened up registration for its juried photography show Open Lens Xi.

The show will run from June 3 through Jul 11 at Gallery Seven, located inside the Gaylord Building at 200 W. 8th St. in Lockport.

A release from Gallery Seven said “weekend photographers or professionals, youngsters or seniors, digital or film, color or black and white; all are invited to enter.”

Photographers may enter up to five images, which must be submitted as jpgs. Deadline to enter is April 30. Entry fee is $35, which is non-refundable.

Partners of Gallery Seven will judge the show. Cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Best in Show, first place, second place, third place and three honorable mentions.

Temporary business hours, according to the Gallery Seven website, are noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free. Facemasks are required.

All art exhibited at Gallery Seven is for sale. Works on display include photography, paintings, sculpture, pottery, printmaking, woodwork, glass work and jewelry.
