LocalLit book preview: Taking coloring to the next level

Joliet artist creates coloring book and journal for all ages

Joliet fine artist Terri Ellinger recently published “Coloring Book & Journal: Coloring for All Ages.”

Full disclosure: I first met Ellinger after interviewing her a couple of times about her art for The Herald-News. A couple years ago, she even did some pen and ink sketches for one of my projects.

Because I have always loved to color, and because some of my adult children still enjoy coloring, too, I ordered a copy of Ellinger’s coloring book.

It’s this book I’ll review in Tuesday’s LocalLit newsletter.

Here is its Amazon description: “This book was created as a tribute to my love for coloring as a child. This coloring book are original sketches drawn with a fine line and medium line marker. No touch up was done in photoshop or with any computer assistance. I hope you enjoy the coloring pages, and every other page is a quotation and lines for you to journal your thoughts.”
