The Crest Hill Police Department on Sunday responded to the 1700 block of North Raynor Avenue following a report of a person who had been shot.

The victim was transported to Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet and is currently listed in critical condition, the police department said in a post on the city’s Facebook page.

“This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” the post said.
