Jennifer Ebner of Peru appeared to grab the GOP nomination for La Salle County Clerk late Tuesday after Steven Stohr of Ottawa conceded in a tight race.

Lori Bongartz, La Salle County Clerk, announced the County Clerk’s Office will be closed for all business other than election services Tuesday, June 28.

Republican voters in La Salle County will have many more decisions to make at Tuesday’s primary than Democrats, including a contest for La Salle County Clerk.

A top priority for Steven Stohr if re-elected as La Salle County Clerk is: "One item that has been mentioned to me by several people, was the lack of training when they were becoming election judges. I will strive to put better educated election judges in the polling places."
