DIXON – Not that he wishes anyone ill, but Ehren Giblin can look out his storefront window and see potential customers.
Giblin and his wife, Jessica, are the owners of Sauk Valley Collision, 210 W. Boyd St., a spot that’s a veritable mixing bowl for potential traffic accidents, with young drivers from Dixon High School meeting up with fast food customers. It’s a congested area from sunup to sundown.
“Just physically working in here, I look out the window and see accidents out there almost daily,” Giblin said. “It’s amazing.”

He bought his 10,000-square-foot property, the former home of CrossFit Rock River, back in early January, spent a few months getting it ready, and is now fully operational.
For now, it is just him and his wife, but other employees may be added down the road.
“It’s been going really good,” Giblin said. “I’m very, very thankful for the support of everybody in the community. It’s been a family event, and I’m very, very happy with it.”
Sauk Valley Collision is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and Saturday by appointment. Call 815-973-1811, find it on Facebook, or pop on in.
“Stop in and let me know,” Giblin said. “I’ll write up an estimate and walk you through the insurance company process, if you need help with that. We’ll do whatever we’ve got to do.”
