Thursday’s Salad Day benefits Lee County United Way

Grace loves baby spinach and romaine lettuce, but one of her favorites is a packaged greens mixture, which is sold at most grocers. It is called spring mix or fresh herb salad. Most of the packaged greens are organic and pre-washed.

DIXON – Mark your calendars for Thursday, Oct. 26, for Community Salad Day. The event will benefit Lee County United Way.

Treat yourself to an Apple Harvest Sizzling Salad featuring sliced ham, celery, onions, Swiss cheese, cashews (packaged separately) and poppyseed dressing on the side.

Salads will be available while supplies last from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the KSB Circle Drive. No pre-orders will be taken. The cost is $5 per salad (cash or check accepted).
