Morrison junior sprinter Brady Anderson is the Sauk Valley Athlete of the Week. He won the state title in the 100, took second in the 200 to teammate Levi Milder and anchored wins in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.

Dixon and Sterling both advanced to Saturday's state track finals in multiple events on Friday.
Morrison's 4x200 relay of Rylan Alvarado, Levi Milder, Zach Milder and Brady Anderson set the Class 1A state meet record on Thursday with a 1:26.87 to take first in the prelims. Newman, Oregon, Bureau Valley, Milledgeville and Forreston-Polo also advanced to Saturday's finals.
Forreston-Polo edged defending state champion Winnebago by three points to win the Class 1A Oregon Sectional title on Friday. F-P and Oregon each had state qualifiers advance.
The Forreston-Polo boys track team won the 1A Oregon Sectional on Friday, May 29, 2025 edging Winnebago 120 to 117.5. The Cardinals qualified individuals and relay teams to the state finals at Eastern Illinois University. Preliminaries at the state meet begin Thursday, May 29 in Mattoon.
Dixon and Sterling took second and third at Wednesday's Class 2A Rochelle Sectional as both schools, along with Rock Falls, finished the meet with multiple state qualifiers.
A deep Dixon team won the Big Northern Conference track and field meet by over 50 points on Thursday.
