Lee County reports 3 COVID-19 deaths, 57 cases

DIXON - The Lee County Health Department reported three new coronavirus deaths during the last week.

The deaths were of a man in his 70s, and a man and a woman in their 80s.

Lee County also had 57 new COVID-19 cases last week compared to 69 the previous week.

New cases consisted of seven children 12 and younger, three teens, 10 in their 20s, 12 in their 30s, 10 in their 40s, four in their 50s, eight in their 60s and three in their 70s.

Nine residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, and there have been 54 recoveries in the last week.

Lee County is the only county in the Sauk Valley to reach at least 50% fully vaccinated. There have been 34,252 total vaccine shots administered with 17,505 people fully vaccinated, or 51.16%.
