Vaccine update: Sauk Valley administers 686 doses Thursday

The Sauk Valley administered an additional 686 coronavirus vaccine doses Thursday, and 500 more people became fully vaccinated.

Whiteside County has administered 43,029 total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 21,474 people (38.6%) fully vaccinated. Lee County has had 29,103 doses, with 14,590 people (42.63%) fully vaccinated. Carroll County has administered 9,420 vaccine doses, with 4,941 people (34.52%) fully vaccinated. Ogle County had 40,172 doses, with 19,748 people (38.78%) fully vaccinated.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 13,924,415 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been distributed statewide, with 11,821,373 vaccines administered.

For Wednesday, the state administered 62,268 shots, and 5,678,116 of the population of Illinois have been fully vaccinated, or 44.57%.
