Sage Studio Virtual Theatre Festival Features Three Nights of Terrific Performances!

Sage Studio, a premier theatre education program offered by Raue Center for the Arts for children ages 7-18, is offering virtual performances this spring that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home! Virtual Sage Studio is building on another amazing year of classes with the Sage Studio Virtual Theatre Festival, which will delight audiences with three nights of plays and musical performances featuring its incredibly talented students.

The Festival consists of two plays and a cabaret of musical theatre solo songs that will be rehearsed and recorded online over a three-week period under the direction of Sage’s professional team. The material will be edited into three fantastic nights of online performances to be streamed LIVE through Raue Center’s Vimeo channel.

“After working with our amazing students online and watching them shine in our Virtual Sage Studio classes, we’re thrilled to give them a showcase of their own,” said Amanda Flahive, Education Manager for Raue Center. “We have over 50 incredible young performers working with our professional instructors to put on these hilarious and heartwarming shows that are perfect for the whole family. I love that the kids will have a chance to show off their work not only to their family in McHenry County, but thanks to our awesome online distribution platforms, they can also share a night of fantastic entertainment with friends and family all over the country!”

The shows will include Virtually Ever After (May 21st from 7-9 p.m.), which brings favorite classic fairytales to life in the digital age; Technically Challenged (May 22nd from 7-9 p.m.), which tackles the complications and chaos that arise when technology keeps us apart; and Zooming Down Broadway (May 23rd from 7-9 p.m.), featuring fantastic vocalists singing their favorite musical theatre solo piece.
