West Dundee man killed in car crash in Gilberts, coroner says

A 44-year-old West Dundee man was killed in a car crash Monday morning in Gilberts, the Kane County Coroner’s Office said.

The accident took place near the intersection of Huntley and Kreutzer roads, the coroner’s office said in a news release Thursday. The Gilberts Police Department called the coroner’s office to the scene at 2:12 a.m. Monday.

The man killed was identified as Jesse Dalisky, according to the Kane County Coroner’s Office. Following an autopsy Wednesday, the preliminary cause of death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries caused by a vehicle striking a fixed object.

Toxicology samples were sent to a forensic lab for further analysis, according to the release.

An attempt to reach the Gilberts Police Department Thursday was not immediately successful.
