The Island Lake man charged with driving under the influence in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist in McHenry was charged with an additional felony Friday, court records show.

Steven W. Foulk, 67, of Island Lake, was originally charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, an aggravated DUI for causing bodily harm, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following the motorcycle-vehicle crash last Thursday.

Police said the motorcycle was southbound on Chapel Hill Road about 2 a.m. Thursday and stopped in the center lane near the Route 120 intersection when it was struck by a Toyota Camry driven by Foulk.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office later identified 27-year-old Antioch resident Kenneth Jackson as the man who died.

On Friday, Foulk was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alchohol causing death. His bond, which was previously $20,000, is now $40,000.

Reached by phone on Wednesday evening, Foulk’s lawyer said he had no comment on the upgraded charges at this time.
