Here is the All-Kishwaukee River Conference girls volleyball team for the 2025 season, as selected by coaches. Woodstock North senior setter Gabby Schefke was named KRC Player of the Year.

Long-time Cary-Grove coach Patty Langanis will be inducted into the Illinois Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame this weekend. Langanis, who coached at C-G for 30 seasons and amassed almost 750 wins at the school, will be announced at the state tourney Saturday.

Prairie Ridge senior twins Addi and Abby Smith are a big reason why the Wolves find themselves back at the Class 3A state tournament. Prairie Ridge plays Normal University in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Illinois State University's CEFCU Arena.

Prairie Ridge never led in the first set Monday, but the never-say-die Wolves rallied for a 21-25, 25-20, 25-22 win against St. Viator to reach the Class 3A state tournament for the second straight season.

Adeline Grider had 12 kills, Abby Smith added seven, and Prairie Ridge's volleyball team beat Carmel 25-12, 25-19 to win the Class 3A Carmel Sectional championship Thursday night. It was the second year in a row the Wolves ended the Corsairs' season.

Burlington Central, seeking its first sectional title since since 2008, fell to St. Viator 25-10, 25-20 on Thursday night in the Class 3A IC Catholic Sectional championship. Senior captain Haidyn Schatz paced the Rockets with eight kills.
