Man flown to hospital after crashing motorized bike into fence Sunday near Marengo

A man was flown to the hospital after crashing a motorized bike into a fence Sunday near Marengo.

Fire crews responded about 1:30 p.m. to the crash in the 1900 block of Bauman Road, Harvard Fire Protection District Chief John Kimmel said. Kimmel also is chief of the Marengo Fire and Rescue Districts.

A man who was on the motorized bike and crashed into the fence was flown to Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford with injuries that were severe but not life-threatening, Kimmel said.
