Crash closes stretch of Rakow Road in Lake in the Hills near Crystal Lake

What appeared to be a serious crash shut down a portion of James R. Rakow Road in Lake in the Hills near the town boundary of Crystal Lake on Thursday evening.

Multiple responding police vehicles had Rakow blocked off in the area between Pingree and Virginia roads.

There was no immediate word on injuries.

Authorities did not respond to multiple requests for updates Friday.
