CL Enterprises’ Carver Aero announces Janesville Jet Center acquisition

Open house is scheduled noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 16

CL Enterprises’ Carver Aero announced its acquisition of Janesville Jet Center at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, Wis.

This is the most recent acquisition as Carver Aero has continued to expand its full service FBO network throughout the Midwest. The company also operates FBOs in Muscatine, Davenport and Council Bluffs.

Chairman of Carver Aero and co-founder and Chairman/CEO of CL Enterprises, Peter Limberger was excited about the acquisition.

“The Janesville FBO fits into our business strategy to expand into smaller communities throughout the Midwest and this acquisition expands our footprint into Wisconsin,” Limberger said. “This airfield can accommodate higher volumes and larger planes. That means greater opportunity”

CL Enterprises is based in the Illinois Valley that invests in a wide variety of businesses ranging from farming, manufacturing, hospitality, real estate development and aviation.

Carver CEO Guy Lieser said his company’s acquisition of the center comes with a thought out plan in mind.

“We have three key initiatives with the Janesville FBO,” Leiser said. “One is to work with existing airfield businesses and tenants to determine that opportunities exist to benefit all.”

“A second is to offer services not currently being offered, such as aircraft maintenance, avionics and charter services with our fleet or turboprops. Finally, we believed smaller airports should be contributors to the local economy and be an integral part of the community.”

Carver Aero will be hosting an open house from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 16, at the Janesville Jet Center Hangar.

Weather permitting, the company will showcase its one-of-a-kind 1929 Travel Air D10 and several other vintage aircraft.
