IVCC offers summer transfer courses

First summer session begins May 24, second June 7, third June 16

Illinois Valley Community College is offering its schedule of online summer transfer courses in business, fine arts, mathematics and science.

“We encourage students to lighten their load in the fall by taking a course or two in the summer,” said IVCC Director of Admissions Quintin Overocker. “They can also use the summer to catch up or prep for fall.”

Summer includes courses in accounting, business, economics, management, marketing, art, composition, creative writing, film, gender studies, children’s literature, music, speech, theatre, psychology, government, sociology, algebra, pre-calculus, statistics, environment, biology, physiology, chemistry and weather and climate.

Healthcare and wellness courses include human growth and development, medical terminology, nutrition, CNA, wellness, personal and community health and first-aid.

Electives include automotive heating and air-conditioning and criminal justice. Multiple hands-on welding courses will also be offered.
