La Salle County Farm Bureau Foundation offers Ag scholarships

The La Salle County Farm Bureau Foundation is offering two $1,500 scholarships for students in an agriculture-related field of study.

One scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who will attend an accredited two- or four-year program at a college, university or vocational-technical school. The second scholarship is available to an individual currently enrolled in an ag-related field of study. The scholarships are for the 2021-22 school year.

Eligible applicants must be a La Salle County Farm Bureau member or dependent of a member. A completed application must be accompanied with one letter of recommendation.

Selection criteria include academic performance and honors, demonstrated interest in agriculture and agribusiness, financial need, evidence of self-help and character.

Applications are available at the La Salle County Farm Bureau office in Ottawa or the bureau’s website, www.lcfb.org. Applications must be received by 4 p.m. March 19.

The La Salle County Farm Bureau Foundation has provided more than $41,000 in scholarships since its establishment in 1994.
