Mendota man arrested on charge of unlawful dissemination of sexual content

22-year-old taken to La Salle County Jail

A 22-year-old Mendota man was arrested Sunday morning after police said Spayer disseminated sexually explicit photographs and videos without receiving consent from the victim.

Matthew R. Spayer was arrested 9:55 a.m. Sunday and charged with unlawful dissemination of sexual content without consent and unauthorized video recording and live video transmission.

Spayer was taken to La Salle County Jail where he is awaiting a bond hearing. The La Salle County State’s Attorney’s Office will review the case for possible additional charges, police said.
